The United Way of the Cape Fear Area distributes any disaster relief funds received through the local Community Agencies Active in Disasters (COAD) based on agency activity and needs during both short and long term recovery.
The public will be notified of specific tangible item and volunteer needs through social media, local media outlets and the local United Way of the Cape Fear Area’s website at uwcfa.org.
Those interested in volunteering are asked to wait until specific needs are identified and an announcement is made by authorities.
