Our Impact

10-Year Plan: Circles of Support is currently mentoring homeless neighbors in our area in hopes of transitioning them out of homelessness.  3 of the neighbors have saved enough money to move out of transitional hoursing and into their own apartments.  Almost all of the neighbors are attending AA or NA meeting to manage their addictions.  4 neighbors have expressed interest in returning to school to study a trade or earn a technical degree.  2 neighbors are actually in school doing exactly that.

Good Shepherd Center, Wilmington Interfaith Hospitality Network and Phoenix Employment Ministries provided refuge from the streets 867 individuals.  Of those individuals, 73 were connected with day labor and provided transportation to their worksites, 46 found long-term employment, 264 transitioned from shelters to affordable housing, including 53 families

Cape Fear HealthNet has provided 12,131 medical and dental visits; filled 31,084 prescriptions; provided 1,684 mental health visits; and prevented 6,065 unnecessary Emergency Room visits.

Communities in Schools Cape Fear served 146 suspended youth; recovering 1,155 instructional days.
